Sunny was
our beloved
Bernice's last daughter. She was a single kid born to
Bernice in 2007. Hence how her name was derived. At
birth, Sunny was breath taking and has continued to develop into
a stunning doe. She couldn’t be much prettier to me in her
general appearance. Sunny has excellent dairy character. She is
long in bone, while being strong and correct in her legs and
standing on excellent feet. Sunny has excellent Nubian breed
character and is right on target with a beautiful head and ear.
Her neck is long and elegant that blends smoothly into her sharp
shoulders. When
Sunny freshened as a first freshener I was impressed. The judges
and appraiser agreed. Sunny's first show out in 2008 as a first
freshener, she was first place yearling milker in her class size
of 20 under Judge Susan Barker. Her appraisal proved rewarding,
receiving an impressive final score of 87 as yearling first
freshener. Sunny
is showing me the potential for good milk production. She held a
strong long lactation and milked out and down beautifully to an
empty glove, with the texture of butter, just as her mother did.
