               Misty is a doe that has done and continues to do amazingly in all 3 of the categories
            I have set my goals in. Milk production, linear appraisal and the show ring.
            Her milk production is where I’d like to see it with her first test on 2-28 gave
            9.3 lbs. of milk and her second test on 3-27 giving 9.7 lbs. milk and she continues
            to hold strong. This year’s LA gave her an excellent mammary in when she went to
            the ADGA Natl. show in 2010 she placed 3rd with 3rd place udder.  
               Misty is a doe who is easy to love, not only in her physical attributes but in her
            temperament and easy going nature in the milking parlor. She is easy to hand milk
            when milked by hand and agreeable with us and her fellow herd mates.
           As with any goat, there is no such thing as perfect, and trade offs are always made.
            Although we keep trying to breed for that ever elusive perfect creature that haunts us
            in our dreams, we make our decisions on what we believe to be the best.
            So in spite of the limited imperfections in both dam and sire, we have chosen to retain
            her 2011 son to be one of our herd sires, to be named; Jacobs Pride Klassic Mr. Scott.
            We think he will be a great asset to our herd in the years to come, and hopefully
            not only to our herd, but for the Nubian breed in general.
