2 Spot blended into the rest of the juniors when she was young so she was dubbed, 2Spot as her call name because of two spots she sported on her body in various places.
2 Spot was the result of a planned breeding that was very exciting on paper. It doubled up on the milk production in her genetics with Pistachio being the main component for high milk production. Other TOP TEN Breed Leaders who stand out in her pedigree such as; Candy, Yonina, Damara and Tessa contributing for genetically high production. Besides the milk production in her pedigree it became obvious after freshening she would be a major player on our show string as well besides the milk parlor.
2 Spot was an outstanding first freshener for me. Sadly that was short lived because it took 2 years after her first freshening, to get her to settle again. Now as a 4 yr. old, second freshener,
she is finally back again. I wouldn't give up on her, although at 3 years old and still open for a second year, she was in her 11th hour for us. Thankfully, she made it.
On account of the hiatus 2Spot took for two years, her milk production is not what it should be. Seeing anything exciting this year in her milk production is not showing it's self at this time. But, as I was hopeful for 2Spot to come back into the senior herd, so I'm hopeful she will catch up in production in the years ahead of her.
